I feel for what the future will bestow.

At what point do you say, “stop”?
What I want, but not what I need.
Its so right and yet so wrong.
Everything seems to make sense.

A friend, a best friend, a lover?
You can’t choose without an answer.
I lean and lean harder without thought.
I need like there’s no tomorrow.

Will this go somewhere or will this end?
Someone I must choose without choice.
I can’t do it all by myself, not now.
I need time to discover and to learn.

Why be so understanding?
Making it easier, but making it harder.
Be here and so will I.
I know what I want, but not what I need.

She only wants me for herself.
I don’t know what it is I have.
She sees what I offer, but not who I am.
I enjoy it, but I cannot be with her.

She wants to touch me.
I want to touch her back.
If only for a moment.
Lost in the moment of moments.

She doesn’t understand my needs.
I want to stay, but I have to go.
She needs me there, but I must stay here.
This may never end.

She thinks she knows herself.
Only completely lost in herself.
Not thinking of the consequences.
It is over and it has just began.
